The YSS Foundation Formed in 1984, The Youth and Shelter Services Foundation embraces the values and guiding principles of YSS and supports the mission of YSS through the development of financial and community resources for the future. Each year over 1,500 individuals and families support our Friends of the YSS Foundation campaign. The Foundation currently administers an Endowment of over $3 million. Members of a planned giving group known as the Icarus Endowment Society have invested in the future of Youth and Shelter Services through a significant gift to the Endowment of the YSS Foundation. Each outright and planned gift expands and meets needs in perpetuity of Youth and Shelter Services.
